Anti-Bulling information
“Anti-Bulling information sessions took place on Thursday 27 January for parents and on 07 February for teachers. For those of you who were unable to attend the parent night, the link below may be useful.
One of the areas covered in the talk is Cyber-Bullying. We in school are aware that a number of children from the school have already been the victims of cyber-bullying. We are also aware that some children are accessing unsuitable material on the web and sharing the website addresses with their peers.
There is supervised internet access and a very strict filtering system in place in the school. Therefore we must assume that the activities mentioned above are happening outside of school hours. The loud and clear message from the Anti-Bullying facilitator is that primary school children should not have unsupervised access to the internet.
“Safer Internet Day” takes place in February every year. We have listed below a selection of websites which will help you help your child to use the internet safely and age-appropriately. These websites will be on a permanent link on our website under “Links of Interest”.
