Cake Sale in aid of "Our Little Brothers & Sisters of Haiti (Charity No 11953)"
A Cake Sale will take place next Thursday, 11 February in aid of the above charity. It has been mostly organized by 6th Class children, with a little help from some teachers. Cakes and buns can be dropped into the servery/kitchen through the Diswellstown Door from 08.15am on Thursday morning. The cake sale is for the children of the school only but parents are of course welcome to bake. A raffle will be held at the end of the day for a big cake and some other goodies. A number of children have been asking how much money they should bring. A donation of €5 would cover a supply of cakes and buns and raffle tickets but of course any donation would be welcome. There will be no written homework on Tuesday and Wednesday evening so that the children can concentrate on baking!!

This procedure is in place for the safety and security of all pupils and your full cooperation in this matter would be very much appreciated.

The Jack & Jill Foundation in association with Promethean are inviting schools to collect and swap unwanted mobile phones for a new Promethean interactive whiteboard. We have registered for this campaign. The deal is for every 300 old mobile phones collected, participating schools earn a 78inch Promethean ActivBoard. See www.phonesforboards.com for further information. A collection box is in place inside the main door of the school.
