Staff Meeting
There will be a Staff Meeting on Monday 07 February
All children will finish at 12.00noon.

Procedure for Entry to School Building
St Patrick’s N.S. opens for classes at 8.30am.  Once the class has lined up and is brought in, the door will be closed.  If your child arrives after the door has closed, they should follow the procedure below:

  • Children who arrive between 8.30 and 8.50am should make their way to the Blanchardstown Door, which is the first door on the right hand side of the school
  • If you arrive after 8.50am, please use the main entrance, as you must sign your child’s name into the Sign-In Book. 
  • In order to minimise disruption to the school day, parents are asked not to accompany children to classrooms at this time. 

Luttrellstown Community College
The assessment for incoming First Years (September 2011) will take place on Saturday 05 February 2010 at 9.15am in Luttrellstown Community College.
An Information Meeting for incoming First Years and their parents will take place here in LCC on Thursday 10 February from 7.30pm-9.00pm. 

Castleknock Community College
The assessment for incoming First Years (September 2011) will take place on Saturday 05 February 2010 at 9.30am in Castleknock Community College.

“Shave or Dye” in aid of Irish Cancer Society
Would you like to support the “Shave or Dye” initiative in aid of the Irish Cancer Society? If yes, one of our pupils, Ellen Spring, is shaving her head! To sponsor her, please go to www.mycharity.ie/event/ellen.  No donation too small!!   

World Flags – is yours included?
We have a collection of some world flags on display in the main foyer. These flags represent the wide diversity of nationalities and/or ethnic origins of the children in St Patrick’s. The following flags are currently on display:

Donation – Communion Clothes
We have had a donation of a Communion Dress and a boy’s Communion Suit.  If you are interested in looking at either, please contact Mary Power through the office before 11 February.  Confidentiality is assured.  If no-one is interested, they will be donated to the St Vincent de Paul Shop in Blanchardstown.

Celtic Travelling Books Art Competition
Congratulations to Holly Hayes from Ms M O’Reilly’s class who won the Book Fair Art Competition.  Holly’s prize included a Faber Castell Art Bag but also a selection of art products for her class.  Well done Holly!

Internet Safety
“Safer Internet Day” takes place on 08 February.  Guidelines for parents and children regarding safe internet use will be uploaded to our website as a link during the coming week.  We would urge parents to use the Guidelines.

Lost Property

The Lost Property Press is located inside the Blanchardstown Door of the school.  If your child is missing anything, please pop in at drop off/collection time and take a look.  Any items unclaimed by 18 February will be donated to St Vincent de Paul Shop in Blanchardstown Village.

Parents Association News

Pub Quiz Social

Castleknock Hurling & Football Club Nursery Group takes place in Somerton at 10.00am every Saturday.

Volleyball
The last Volleyball session of this term is Wednesday 09 February. It will recommence on Wednesday 02 March.
