Dropping Your Child to School
For the safety of your children, please ensure that when you are dropping your child to school they exit the car on the passenger side, on the school side of the road.

Jewellery
The Health and Safety Officer and the School Insurers have recently brought it to our attention that wearing jewellery poses a safety risk at school because of the active nature of the school day. It is therefore necessary for us to request that children do not wear earrings (other than studs), necklaces, bracelets and rings in school. Watches are acceptable but we would ask that they be removed during PE classes.

Green School News
Our Application for the Green School Flag Award was submitted to An Taisce during the week.

Mobile Phone Recycling
The Jack and Jill Foundation can benefit from the recycling of your redundant mobile phones. They are happy to take any make or model. We now have a Collection Box inside the main door. Please remember to remove all SIM cards before placing it in the box.

Down to Earth Environmental Theatre Company
The DTE Theatre Company will give two performances at school on Monday 05 March for children in Senior Infants to Fourth Class (inclusive). Fingal County Council is sponsoring one performance. The show is about three main characters that embark on an adventure to help save the planet.

Seachtain na Gaeilge
Seachtain na Gaeilge from Friday 09 March to Thursday 15 March. A number of events have been organised for the children.

Collections during Break time
In our recent Health & Safety Audit, the officer suggested that the practice of allowing children to leave school during break time, rather than from their classrooms, cannot be monitored effectively in a school of this size. If you need to collect your child during the school day, please do not do so during playtime (10.20-10.30am and 12.00-12.30pm). Your cooperation in this matter would be very much appreciated.
