Bedtime for school-going children
Health professionals recommend that “A school child usually needs to sleep about 10 hours every night. Children who don’t get a good night's sleep cannot get the best out of school the next day.”

Meeting with Teachers
All questions/queries re school should be directed initially to the class teacher. Please contact the school secretary to make an appointment. (For safety reasons, it is not possible for class teachers to meet with parents without an appointment as supervision arrangements have to be put in place. For the same safety reasons, teachers cannot take or make phone calls during class time). Parents of Infant children may be able to have a quick informal word with the class teacher when collecting their child at home time.

Mural – 10th Anniversary
To commemorate the 10th anniversary, we are creating a large mural to fill some of the wall in the senior yard.  Each child has contributed a picture towards a themed class grouping mural.  Each mural will have its own section on the wall.  We are looking for some parent volunteers to paint a base coat onto the wall for each of the murals, on Wednesday morning the 8th of February from 9.30am.  If you are interested, there will be a sheet in the foyer for parents to sign with their names and contact number.  We would appreciate all the help we can get!

Phones for Boards
The Jack & Jill Foundation in association with Promethean are inviting schools to collect and swap unwanted mobile phones for a new Promethean interactive whiteboard.  We have registered for this campaign. The deal is for every 300 old mobile phones collected, participating schools earn a 78inch Promethean ActivBoard.  See www.phonesforboards.com for further information.  A collection box is in place inside the main door of the school.  Perhaps you could ask family and friends who may have received a new phone for Christmas to help us to acquire a new Interactive Whiteboard for the school by donating their old phones.
