Summer Break
The school will close at 11.30am tomorrow Friday 29 June for Summer Break. It will reopen on Friday 31 August for Senior Infants-Sixth Class and Monday 03 September for Junior Infants.

Senator Eamonn Coghlan's Visit
Last Wednesday the school was privileged to have one of Ireland's greatest athletes visit our school. He met with members of our Cross Country Team who heard fascinating stories from his life and career. The children watched some of his finest races and Eamonn was able to explain how he felt before, during and after each race. A Question and Answer Session followed. His main message to everybody was "to believe in yourself". He then went to watch a group of children from 3rd Class who put on a display of physical activities for him. He finished by observing the Junior Infants in action during their Sports Day. It was an honour to have him in our school.

Down Syndrome Ireland – Ice-Cream Fun Day
The amount raised at last Friday’s Ice-Cream Fun Day was €1,146.63.  A sincere thank you to everyone who helped and supported this worthy cause.  Funds will be used for the organisation’s nationwide projects, such as its early development programme, adult literacy programme, educational advice and research for parents and children, counselling and advocacy and special interest groups.

New Junior Infants September 2012
Junior Infant children are welcome to wear their school tracksuit at any time, not just on their designated PE Days.  However, if you wish them to wear full school uniform on non PE days, they may do so.

Book Scheme
We are delighted with the response to our new Book Scheme.  The deadline has passed for accepting any more books for sale but we are happy to take donated books tomorrow (Friday 29 June) only.

Visa Letters
Please note the school office is closing on Friday 29 June. Should you require a Visa Letter for your child, please ensure your request is received before 29 June.

School Uniforms (Second-Hand)
The St Vincent de Paul shop in Blanchardstown Village is happy to accept donations of second-hand uniforms.  If you have any items that are in good condition that your child has outgrown, perhaps you would drop them down to the shop at the end of this school year.

Lost Property
Any unclaimed Lost Property items will be donated to St Vincent de Paul if not collected by Friday 29 June.  Please take a minute to view the items on display if your child is missing anything.

Moving House?
If you are moving house and your child will not be returning to St Patrick’s in the new school year, it is vital that you make contact with the class teacher or the Main Office as soon as possible as it will be necessary for you to complete a Transfer Form.   We have a number of children on waiting lists for all classes and we would like to be able to contact these parents as soon as possible.

Contact Details
It is essential that we have the correct address and contact details (e.g. home telephone, parents’ mobile numbers) for your child on our database in order for you to receive your child/children’s school reports, end of year letters, etc or to make contact with you if your child should fall ill during the school day. If any of your details have changed since the beginning of the school year, please complete a Change of Address/Contact Details Form, available from the office or email info@stpatricksns.ie with “Change of Contact Details” as heading.
