Transition from Primary to Secondary School Talk For Parents

Important  Change: Parents of children in 5th class, please note that going forward, this talk will held every 2 years so there will NOT be a talk next  year.

The transition from Primary school to Secondary school is one of those life events that most people can recall in some way or other.  The purpose of this talk is to outline the major changes involved for both children and parents and to provide some useful tips on how best to manage the transition so that the experience can be undertaken with minimum stress - for the whole family!  Tom Casey, Teen Counsellor, Crosscare, will facilitate a talk for parents in the school foyer on Tuesday 10th June at 8.30pm. Tom brings with him a lot of relevant experience and practical advice which we feel will be very beneficial for parents. The talk is aimed at parents with children in 5th and 6th class but all are welcome.

Time: 8.30pm to 9.30pm with additional time available for questions.

New Payment Method
We are trialling a New Payment System here in St Patrick's. We chose the Fifth Class Tour for the first trial but have also offered it to subsequent tours.  The system allows parents to pay through a very secure system.  It will cancel out the need for writing cheques and sourcing exact amounts for payments, etc. It will also automatically enter the record of the payment against your child's entry on our Aladdin school database.  All outstanding payments are automatically listed in the email sent to parents. Please note that we are only seeking the Class Tour payment at this time.  If your email shows the 2014/2015 Extras Fee, please note that this can be paid any time between now and April 2015. Thank You for your cooperation in this trial. We are confident that the system will benefit both parents and the school in monitoring and recording payments.  If you have any queries about the syste! m, please feel free to email info@stpatricksns.ie.
