There will be a Staff Meeting on Monday 10 May. All children will finish at 12.00noon.
Referendum Polling Station
It has been confirmed by the Office of the Returning Officer that the PE Hall will be used as a Polling Station for the Lisbon Treaty Referendum. Therefore, the school will be closed on Thursday 12 June 2008.
School Gate Opening Time
The school gates open at 08.20am. It is not safe to leave children unsupervised outside the gates before this time. Please try to time your arrival between 08.20am and 08.30am.
School Cricket Match
“On Tuesday 14 May, we fielded out our first ever Cricket Team. Taney N.S. proved to be tough opposition. The final score was 115–42 to Taney N.S. in the first round of the Leprechaun Cup. Everyone on the team really enjoyed it!”. Aidan Doherty – 5th Class
End of School Year Mass
First,Third, Fourth & Fifth Class children will be attending End of School Year Masses next week and have been given a note with the dates. Children should bring a rain jacket as they will be walking to the church. Any parents who do not wish their child to attend Mass on the day should inform the class teacher as soon as possible so that other arrangements can be put in place.
Book Orders
Book Orders were taken yesterday, Thursday 05 June. Please note no further orders will be accepted. Books are available online at http://www.wiseowl.ie/ or from local bookstores.
Extra Curricular Activities
Castleknock Hurling & Football Club Football Mini-Leagues 2008
Open to members and non-members. Monday 16 June to Saturday 21 June. Application Forms have been distributed to the classes and should be returned to the class teacher.
Downey Lanigan School of Irish Dancing
Irish dancing classes are now closed until September 9th. Please email Bernie at bdowney@iol.ie or ring 0876204772 before the 13th of June to book your child's place for September.
