Early School Finish on Friday 19 September
The Department of Education & Science carries out a periodic evaluation (WSE) of the work of every school. St Patrick’s will undergo this appraisal during this school term. A Pre evaluation meeting with school staff is part of the procedure. This meeting will take place on Friday 19 September at 1.15pm. As a result, it will be necessary to dismiss all children at Infant Home Time (1.10pm) on Friday 19 September. Apologies for the short notice but we did not receive final confirmation of dates until Tuesday 09 September 2008.

Meet & Greet Mornings
We are holding a series of informal meetings at 08.40am with the parents of each class grouping. The meetings will take place in the Tigers Room on the dates listed below. We request that you enter the school via the Diswellstown Door (Tigers Entrance) and up the blue stairs rather than through the main school entrance.

Birthdays

As per our School Booklet, we would ask that, if your child is having a birthday party and inviting some classmates, invitations be given out in the schoolyard and not in the classroom. In order to be sensitive to the feelings of children who are not being invited, perhaps you could give the invitation to the parent and not the child. Teachers are not permitted to distribute invitations. Please also note that sweets/cakes should not be sent into the class for distribution on your child’s birthday.

Car Free Day
To mark International Car Free Day on Monday 22 September, we would like to invite everyone to leave their cars at home on this day. Please encourage your child to walk/cycle/come on scooters to school that day.
