June Bank Holiday
The school will be closed on Monday 01 June for the May Bank.
It will reopen on Tuesday 02 May at 08.30am.
Staff Meeting
There will be a Staff Meeting on Monday 08 June.
All children will finish at 12.00noon.

Local & European Elections
It has been confirmed by the Office of the Returning Officer that the PE Hall will be used as a Polling Station for the Local & European Elections. Therefore, the school will be closed on Friday 05 June 2009.

6th Class Graduation
A Graduation Ceremony for our current 6th class children will take place in the school on Tuesday 23 June at 7.30pm in the PE Hall. More details will be sent out before the event.

Green School - Second Flag
Last Friday, Mrs Soulsby and two representatives from the Green School Committee went to Croke Park to accept our second green flag.
"I visited Croke Park to accept our second green flag for St Patrick's. I met Duncan Stewart. It is a great achievement for our school". Shaun - 2nd Class

Safety
If your child is allowed to walk home to/from school, it is important to remind him/her regularly of the importance of never talking to or approaching strangers/cars and of walking in pairs/groups rather than alone.

Annual Diocesan Eucharistic Procession
The Annual Diocesan Eucharistic Procession will take place in the grounds of Holy Cross College, Clonliffe Road on Thursday 11 June at 7.30pm. All First Communion Class pupils, teachers and parents are welcome to attend.

First Holy Communion Receptions
The Parent's Association would like to thank all the parents who helped with the Communion Receptions on the 9th and 16th May.

Confirmation Reception
Thank you to the parents who helped last Monday, 25th May at our first Confirmation Reception and also to their friends/family who collected their children from school on the day.

Junior Infant Sports Day
The Junior Infant "Sport for All" Fun Day will take place (weather permitting) on Wednesday 03 June from 10.45-11.45am. Parents are welcome to come along if they wish.

Schoolbooks/Uniforms
Should any families be happy to donate schoolbooks which they no longer need, to the school, we would be delighted to receive them on the last day of term. School uniform items in very good condition will also be accepted.

Moving House?
If you are moving house and your child will not be returning to St Patrick's in the new school year, it is vital that you make contact with the class teacher or the Main Office as soon as possible as it will be necessary for you to complete a Transfer Form. We have a large number of children on waiting lists for all classes and we would like to be able to contact these parents as soon as possible.

Contact Details
It is essential that we have the correct address and contact details (e.g. home telephone, parents' mobile numbers) for your child on our database in order for you to receive important texts, your child/children's school reports, end of year letters, etc or to make contact with you if your child should fall ill during the school day. If any of your details have changed since the beginning of the school year, please complete a Change of Address/Contact Details Form, available from the office.

School Sports Kit - URGENT
If any children still have a School Sports Kit at home, can they please return them to school ASAP? The kits will be needed by those children representing the school at Morton Stadium, Santry on 03 June (13 children) and 09 June (48 children). We still seem to be short a few Sports Kits.

Cumann na mBunscol Athletics, Morton Stadium, Santry
On Wednesday 03 June, some children will be competing in the 500m Run and Long Jump Events at Santry. Competitions are due to start sometime after 10.30a.m. Parents are more than welcome to come along on the day and support our school team. Go n-eirí an bother leo!

Santry Training
There will be a few more after-school Training Sessions in the Basketball area of the school yard for children who are competing in the Sprint and Relay Events on 09 June. These sessions will run from 2.15-2.45pm:

Tuesday 02 June (Girls only)
Wednesday 03 June (Boys only)
Thursday 04 June (Girls only)

Please make arrangements for picking up/collecting your child at the end of each session.

Art Summer Camp
Artist-led summer art camps, covering drawing, painting, collage, and specializing in sculpture, contact Niamh Merc directly on 087 2288718 for information and bookings. Poster and leaflets with all extra information can be collected at reception area in the school, see "Studio ACE" at Diswellstown Community Centre.

Tigers After School Care "Summer Camp"
There are spaces still available for Tigers Summer Camp from 27 July to 28 August. For more information, please contact Tigers directly on 086 2253781 or see attached leaflet.

Summer Music Camp
Summer Music Camp will take place from Monday 13th - Friday 17th July 2009 from 9:30am to 1pm. To book a place please ring 087 3156340 and leave a message or fill in form given out during the week. The cost is €95 per child (10% discount for siblings). Details of camp content are on the Parent Information Notice Board. Registration will take place on Tuesday 09 June.
